How to delete your Lensically account

Lensically provides self-serve account deletion from the authenticated account settings area. Deletion is permanent and removes the account data associated with your use of the application.

Effective date: March 14, 2026

Deleting your Lensically account permanently removes associated user data from the system. This action cannot be undone.

Delete your account

  1. Sign in to your Lensically account.
  2. Open the account settings page.
  3. Select the delete account action.
  4. If your account uses password authentication, confirm with your current password. For OAuth-only accounts, confirm by entering the required deletion confirmation text.
  5. Confirm the permanent deletion prompt.
  6. After confirmation, Lensically runs the deletion process and removes your account from the system.

What data is removed

When account deletion completes, Lensically permanently removes the account and related application records tied to that user, including:

  • Your Lensically user account record
  • Active sessions and authentication cookies
  • Connected OAuth provider linkages
  • Connected Threads account linkage records and related cached profile data
  • Email verification and password reset tokens
  • Usage tracking and feature usage records associated with your account
  • Scheduled posts and publish status records stored for your account

Account deletion disables access immediately and clears active sessions. For security, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention, Lensically may retain limited identity tombstones (such as email and OAuth provider identifiers) for up to 7 days before expiring.

If a Threads account is disconnected (without full account deletion), Lensically may retain temporary connection tombstone metadata for a short reconnect window as part of product safety and lifecycle handling.

Need help?

Lensically also supports provider-initiated deletion callbacks for Meta review workflows. When a supported provider sends a deletion request for associated Threads data, Lensically processes the request through its configured deletion callback and returns a confirmation status response.
